"Flightless Bird, American Mouth" là một track Acoustic mang hơi hướng Blue, Folk trong Twiglight OST do Iron & Wine thể hiện. Iron & Wine hay còn được biết đến với tư cách là nhà soạn nhạc người Mỹ Samuel Beam (Sam Beam), chơi nhạc Folk/ Rock/ Acoustic , âm hưởng chủ yếu các sáng tác của Sam viết và thể hiện đều rất buồn và da diết, một chất giọng trầm ấm trên nền đệm guitar , hát mà như kể chuyện, dẫn dắt người nghe vào 1 thế giời rất kỳ lạ của riêng ông. Để ý lyric của Sam có rất nhiều những hình ảnh ẩn dụ: động vật (dogs, cats, birds, sheep, wolf,lions...), những thứ vô hình (smoke, fog, sunshine), những thứ vô tri, mà con người không còn sử dụng đến (bone, teeth...), chủ thể con người rất ít xuất hiện, nếu có chẳng thì là ẩn sau những hình tượng khó hiểu trên, qua đó, để nói về cuộc sống của con người, chính xác là những tâm hồn cô đơn bị vứt bỏ đầy cô độc. Giai điệu của Sam rất hay nhưng để hiểu hết lyric của ông viết thì không định rằng không phải ai cũng có thể cảm nhận được :)
